iMac Late 2013 rebooting unexpectedly and hangs from time to time
Hi,
I currently have some strange issues with my iMac 27.
Sometimes during work the User Interface gets Inresponsive.
The Mouse Pointer is still moving, but I can't do anything with it.
If iTunes was running, I can stop and start stuff here using the media keys.
After Approx. 15 minutes (sometimes less) the system just reboots.
It also already startet twice into the recovery mode.
This is quite annoying.
I can't figure out why this is happening.
I removed every usb device even my usb mouse and it still happens.
In the Report I get this as the head of the report
Date/Time: 2017-10-17 11:05:57 +0200
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.13 (Build 17A405)
Architecture: x86_64h
Report Version: 26
Data Source: Stackshots
Event: Sleep Wake Failure
Duration: 0.06s
Steps: 6
Hardware model: iMac14,2
Active cpus: 4
Time Awake Since Boot: 61000s
The funny/sade thing is it happens during my work with the system.
I also already tried to reset smc und nvram.
but no results.
My guess is that the hard drive is starting to fail. The diagnostics Programm from mac OS isn't showing anything really.
I have run dry on any other solutions, please help.
