Trackpad does not recognize mousemovements/gestures

Hello everybody,

since two weeks my MacBook Pro has a problem with the built-in Trackpad. It does not recognize mouse movements and taps, but it does recognize mouse clicks. Yesterday I was at the Genius Bar where they tested the trackpad with their own tool. Fun Fact: The tool recognized the finger on the trackpad. I reinstalled the OS and deleted all the files, but still the mouse is not moving.

I downloaded the tool "Better touch tool" where I added a custom gesture. The tool has a "live-viewer" which I tested. Result: The tool recognized all fingers (up to six) on my trackpad.

So: Does anyone know where the problem is? At the Genius Bar they wanted to replace the whole top case..
