iPad 6th gen Facetime orientation and resolution problems and crash upon quitting
Hello everybody,
the new iPad 6th gen is having several, often interchanging issues with the facetime app, when I‘m calling someone from the iPad:
- the screen orientation is wrong during a call, landscape is not displayed when held in landscape and the same goes for portrait mode
- the controls for doing any interactions are missing, the camera simply displays the image, e.g. the dial buttons are missing
- during a call while in landscape mode, the right side is cut off, leaving only a square part of the image. The right bar (resolution similar to multitasking mode), is completely blank
- the entire app crashes upon quitting the call, leaving the only option to completely restart the ipad
things I have tried so far:
- reinstalling the Facetime app via App Store
- resetting the iPad and reconfiguring as new iPad
- updating to iOS 11.3.1
- checking the rotation lock
None of these have resolved the problem. Has anyone got any further tips or even experienced the same problems?
Best,
Liam
