Sidecar on older Macs (MacBook Pro 2015)

here is an official Apple-list of all Macs supporting Sidecar:

• MacBook Pro (2016 or later)
• MacBook (2016 or later)
• MacBook Air (2018 or later)
• iMac (2016 or later, furthermore iMac Retina 5K 27“ from 2015)
• Mac mini (2018 or later)
• Mac Pro (2019)

So, unfortunately MacBook Pro 2015 is not supported.

Officially this isnt supported. If you don't have the latest update yet, you can get it with a terminal command. If you do have this update, there is a guy on GitHub that has written a tools that will run it. I'm not sure if I can post links/instructions here, but just google :)

I bought an iPad after Apple announced Side Car. I checked if my MacPro 2015 would get Catalina as well, which is positive. Now I have to find out that Side Car is not supported.

I mean... Are you kidding me? There are 3rd party apps which allows that function for years now. They wanna tell me the 2015er is too old??

Same thing happened to me. Bought the new IPad Air after making sure Catalina worked with my Mac but saw nothing on the website regarding Sidecar compatibility. I hope Apple fixes this soon.
