Hi there,
after the update to macOS 10.15.2 my Canon 5D Mark IV is not being recognised by both Lightroom and Capture One for tethered shooting. Tried different USB cables and ports, restarted several times, installed all updates, still no luck. Camera firmware is also up to date.
For now it seems to be related to the OS, anybody got an idea what the issue might be?!

Apple support confirmed that there was a change in the OS that is causing the issue and that an update from Capture One and Lightroom is needed.
Same problem with canon 6D.
Can't work, cant even downgrade to 10.15.1.
In the German Apple Support Forum I have seen the same problem reported for a Canon 7D; Apple support stated that a firmware update for the camera is required. But I doubt, that Canon will update the firmware for very old models for compatibility with Catalina.
The issue regarding Capture One is related to a change in the OS that was introduced in 10.15.2
Here is a statement from Capture One support on their forum:
The root cause of this issue is that Apple has changed the requirements for applications that want to access a PTP-connected capture device. This cannot be resolved by user-side trouble-shooting. We are working on an update that will be compatible with macOS 10.15.2. Until this is released, please do not update to 10.15.2.
