Mail columns resize every time after writing an email.

Every time i write an email the three mail columns resize. The side bar and mail list get much narrower and the mail detail becomes wider to fill the remaining space. I am using the mail app in full screen.

Please fix this bug Apple so that after finishing an email the mail columns revert back to their previous size and not to some arbitrary width. It is highly annoying.
