How to disable live activities (completely)?
Like I know how to not allow a 3rd party app to show live activities though those sometimes even are nice to have. But the whole concept is so disfunctional imho, that i want to disable them completely.
I want to take screenshots without people being able to see my played podcasts or music.
However the inconsistency starts here: Why are live activities shown by media players not "real", live activities, that I can deny as there is no menu in the according settings for the app.
Also I don't want to have live activities for timers - these are clearly "real" live activities and not only a media player. These and the one for the enabled hotspot just get annoying if I want to use 3rd party live activities:
I have a nice tachometer app installed which I like when travelling and providing a real benefit for me, as I have the speed always visible. However timers, hotspot or media playback interfere with this nice indicator and there is no option to set a prioritized live activity.
So my main question is: How can I turn off live activities completely if there is no granular control?
Why can't this be done, not even through accessibility features?
Why are first party apps (e.g. timers) and media players not controllable regarding their ability to show live activities?
