Was the section break feature removed in the latest Apple Pages update? How can I create different layouts within one document now?
I’ve been using Apple Pages to create structured documents (e.g., journals or reports) with different sections such as an introduction and a main content area. Previously, I used section breaks to apply different layouts and different backgrounds for sections.
However, after the latest update, I can no longer find the section break option. It seems like it has either been removed or moved, but I haven’t been able to locate it anywhere in the interface.
This is a problem because I can no longer clearly separate parts of my document with distinct designs the way I used to.
My questions are:
- Was the section break feature removed, or is it just hidden or relocated in the new UI?
- If it was removed, what is the recommended way to create different sections with independent layouts inside a single Pages document now?
- Do I need to switch to a page layout document, or is there still a way to achieve this in a standard word-processing document?
Any clarification or updated workflow would be really helpful, especially for use cases like journals or multi-part documents with different formatting needs.
