Shortcuts app on MacOS 26.5 broken

Good catch reporting this clearly — if the Shortcuts app on your Mac mini only shows four actions, that is not normal behavior. I would not start by uninstalling Shortcuts or erasing the Mac, because Shortcuts is part of macOS and a full reset would be far too drastic at this point.

First, quit Shortcuts completely, restart your Mac from the Apple menu, and then open Shortcuts again. In a new shortcut, check whether the action library still only shows those four actions, and try searching for common action terms like “get,” “find,” or “add.” If nothing changes, start the Mac in Safe Mode and test Shortcuts there as well. Also check System Settings > General > Software Update, because issues with built-in apps are often best fixed through a macOS update.

So the sensible next step is not a wipe, but a clean restart, a Safe Mode test, and checking for updates. If the problem also happens in Safe Mode and after any available update, it would be worth contacting Apple Support, since that may point to a macOS Shortcuts issue rather than something you can safely repair by reinstalling the app.

I. Apple-Chip oder Intel prüfen

Öffne kurz  > Über diesen Mac. Dort steht, ob dein Mac mini einen Apple-Chip oder einen Intel-Prozessor hat.

II. Bei einem Mac mit Apple-Chip

Mac ausschalten. Dann den Ein-/Ausschalter gedrückt halten, bis die Startoptionen erscheinen. Dein Startvolume auswählen, die Umschalttaste gedrückt halten und auf „Im gesicherten Modus fortfahren“ klicken.

III. Bei einem Intel-Mac

Mac neu starten und sofort die Umschalttaste gedrückt halten, bis das Anmeldefenster erscheint. Falls eine zweite Anmeldung kommt, einfach noch einmal anmelden.

IV. Kurzbefehle dort testen

Öffne im sicheren Modus Kurzbefehle und prüfe, ob in einem neuen Kurzbefehl wieder mehr Aktionen angezeigt werden.

Wenn dort wieder alles normal aussieht, liegt die Ursache eher im normalen Benutzer- oder Startumfeld. Wenn auch im sicheren Modus nur vier Aktionen erscheinen, spricht das eher für ein Problem mit Kurzbefehle bzw. macOS selbst.

Danach einfach normal neu starten und hier kurz schreiben, ob sich die Aktionsliste im sicheren Modus anders verhält.

Hallo linus296, nachdem seinerzeit mal eine App nicht so funktioniert hat, wie sie soll, habe ich es erst einmal mit einem Update versucht. Wurde eines bereitgestellt, hat mir das schon öfter helfen können.

In einem Fall konnte mir auch schon helfen, die entsprechende App zu deinstallieren und anschließend neu zu installieren. Danach funktionierte die App wieder, wie sie sollte.

Try deinstalling the app and reinstalling it. That should solve the problem.

If that isn’t working, than do a reset of your Mac and wipe its memory (do a backup first). Then put your backup on and it should be fine.
