iOS - Wallpaper - Info Tap

Setup

I’ve set my lock screen wallpaper to shuffle through personal photos every time the screen unlocks. I really like this feature.

However, I sometimes forget where a specific photo was taken. Is there a way to view this information quickly? It would be great to have a small "i" (info) icon directly on the screen to show details like the date and location.

Even using the long-press menu, via wallpaper setup, to find the image in the Photos app is too cumbersome for a quick lookup.

does somebody know an app or another workaround?

I don’t know of a way to do that with Photo Shuffle. iOS doesn’t provide an Info button for the photo currently being shown on the Lock Screen, and third-party apps can’t add one that identifies the current wallpaper photo.

A Lock Screen widget wouldn’t really solve it either, since it doesn’t know which photo Photo Shuffle is displaying.

I agree an Info option there would be useful. For now, going back to the photo in Photos is unfortunately the only practical way I know to see its date and location.
