Airplay and Landscape, again

Struggling with it for years now, on and off.

Mirror iPhone to TV, start Camera App, switch to landscape. Works most of the time, but sometimes not. Pls don’t give me the obvous answers, like screen orientation lock, updating and/or restarting devices.

With the new iOS version 27.0.1 I tested once again with iPhone SE 2nd ed., iPhone 12 and iPhone 14. Before uprading, mirroring camera app to TV in Landscape worked as expected with all devices.

After updating iOS, results are: iPhone 12 and 14 refuse to switch to landscape mode with camera. Other apps (like e.g. Photos) happily switch to landscape, only camera doesn’t. All workarounds tried, like hard-closing app, restarting everything etc.

Surprisingly, Landscape still works on SE!? What the heck is going on?

So for me, obviously it’s not me, but Apple. Any thoughts or different results?
