Update Problem- IPhone Will Not Work

I recently received an Orange SIM card for my IPhone 7 while studying abroad in Spain this semester, which has been working perfectly. However, when I plugged my IPhone into my computer to install the new update, I received the message that the IPhone could not be updated and I needed to restore the phone to its original factory settings. When I tried to this, the IPhone still rejected the restoration and now will not even let me get to my home page. The phone says that I need Apple support and to connect my phone to iTunes, but still no change, I have even tried putting in my old SIM card with no luck. Please let me know if there is anything else I should try, I am desperate and cannot even use the most
