MacBook Pro: When I switch my keyboard from French to Chinese, it stays at AZERTY instead of switching to QWERTY

I bought my MacBook Pro in July 2017. When I switch my keyboard from French (AZERTY) to Chinese (QWERTY), it stays at AZERTY. This means that I type Chinese with an AZERTY keyboard which is very annoying.

I figured out a way to make it work but every time I want to type Chinese after French I actually have to switch to English keyboard before switching to Chinese so it would change to QWERTY.

I already checked my keyboard settings and my Chinese and English are set to QWERTY and my French is set to AZERTY so I don't understand why the deuce this happens to me.

Has anybody else experienced a similar problem? Is it Apple or is it just me? lol

It's not a bug...

In fact, since 2011 on Macs, when we switch to Chinese, the keyboard Azerty stay in Azerty.

Hello,

If you want to type in a language other than yours on your Mac, you have the option to change the input language of your keyboard for a wide variety of different languages and just a few clicks or key combinations to do so. You also have the option to validate several input languages, allowing you to switch from one language to another at the time of your choice.

Hello,

Thank you for your response but that's not what my problem is. I have no problem switching between languages.

The problem is when I switch from French AZERTY to Chinese QWERTY it stays at Chinese AZERTY which is clearly a bug because it doesn't exist. I can still type Chinese with it but it's very inconvenient.
