How to delete freespace on an APFS drive using terminal?
Hello,
Ive been erasing freespace on my Macbook Pro 2015 retina SSD drive every month using a secure pass35 wipe using this terminal command line "diskutil secureErase freespace 3 /dev/disk1s1"
It always worked good, until today when I keep getting a command error, "Error with secure disk erase: Secure erase by writing a run of bytes to an APFS Volume makes no sense due to its possibly-unbounded size (-69489)"
The thing is, recently I've partioned my drive, add a crypted secure vault partion on my MBP. For this to happend, I changed the status of my drive to APFS, mode.
The Terminal error tells me its impossible to wipe freespace on a APFS drive... Is there a way, other, to do a pass35 wipe on all my free space outside of terminal?
Thank you!
