iPad Pro external display refresh rate

Hey, I’d like to know what is the maximum refresh rate could be when plugging an external monitor to the iPad using an adapter. For example I have a 2560x1440 144Hz monitor and I’d like to know if an external display could have a 120Hz refresh rate because it would be way more fluid than the usual 60. Thanks for reading
