AirPods got randomly reset and paired to the wrong iCloud account

Hi,

A few days ago, while in the train with my girlfriend, we wanted to listen to some music together through the « Share Audio » feature.

I then found out that my Airpods Pro 2 struggled to connect to her phone, and when I tried to connect them on mine they were weirdly appearing as brand new with the splash screen etc.

So I set them up as I did when I got them first, and tried to pair them again to start the audio sharing via my girlfriend’s iPhone.

Since then, I’m having weird messages telling me that unknown AirPods are following me, and that another iCloud account owner (my girlfriend) can see their location. Also, I can’t mark them as « lost » in the Find My app.

The problem is, they don’t appear in my girlfriend’s « Find My » neither, so she can’t remove them for me to link them to my iCloud account.

I’m sorry I’m struggling to explain the issue clearly but it’s kind of a twisted case that I don’t really know how to fix.
