Copying photos from Windows PC to iPad mini.

I am using a new PC laptop (Lenovo Slim 5). Previously all my photos had been copied on my iPad mini with my old ACER without any problem. I wanted to transfer a few additional photos to my iPad. After 3 hours, only a few folders and photos have copied, and this message is displayed waiting for items to copy.

I have tried repeatedly in the last 36 hours; all my photos were first wiped out. My music would not copy either. I have rebooted both devices, checked the updates, deleted the iPod photo cache.

To no avail!
