Image retention on the MacBook Air M4 screen 15 days after purchase

Hello,

I've just noticed with dismay that the screen on my brand new MacBook Air M4 is not as high-quality as the one on my previous 2019 MacBook Pro.

After just a few days of use, the display is no longer uniform when showing a solid color and shows signs of image retention.

(I would add that this photo was taken in the morning after leaving the Mac turned off for 7 hours.)

It seems that other people have experienced the same issue (see reddit : here, here and here).

What can I do?
