Language in Apps not my native language

I am an English-speaking South African currently living in Paris, France. My settings are explicitly English but all websites and apps continue to show content in French... For instance: Apple Music or Reddit — historically an English user, communicating in English, website shows in French, app shows in French, pop-ups in French.

Apart from learning French; how do I change this? Most apps are benign but something like a banking app with French pop-ups is dire situation.

I am using an iPhone 15 Pro Max and MacBook Pro M2 Max.
