Crucial networking bug after iOS 27 update: Apps blocked from internet but Safari works
Hello,
I am facing a severe network routing issue on my iPhone since updating to iOS. The phone is practically unusable for daily tasks.
The symptoms:
- All applications (including Apple Music, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest) show a "no internet connection" error message.
- Surprisingly, Safari works perfectly and loads webpages normally.
- Calls and SMS work without any issue.
- Background data works partially: I still receive push notifications from apps like Snapchat, but once I open the app, nothing loads and I cannot reply.
- On the App Store, I can download updates for existing apps, but I cannot download any new apps.
What I have already tried:
- Disabled all VPNs completely.
- Performed a Reset Network Settings.
- Done a forced restart of the device.
- The bug happens exactly the same on both Wi-Fi and Cellular data (4G/5G).
Since I am located in Algeria, I cannot access the direct Apple live chat support tool. Has anyone else experienced this specific app-blocking routing bug or found a terminal command/fix to force app network re-authorization?
Thank you for your help. I'm really frustrated right now because, since Monday, since the update release, my phone is absolutely useless to me. I can't even use Apple Music.
