Apple Pencil Gen 2

I cannot get my Apple Pencil to work properly with my IPad Air Gen4. The Pencil is recognized by Bluetooth but I cannot get the Pencil to work. In setting I get a flashing blue light that want me to tap twice. I do that and nothing happens. I have rebooted several times and Pencil show fully charged.

You need to search online for your nearest, “local” Apple store location and call contact phone numbers and call to make an appointment to have your Apple iPad diagnosed and options presented you.

Failing that,

You need to contact Apple support via the contact support link located at the upper right hand corner of every Webpage of these Apple support communities.

Use the Hardware Repair and Device Performance support categories.

OR

by installing and using the Apple Support app found in the iOS App Store.

Tap the iOS App Store link below.

Yes, authentic Apple Pencil Gen 2. The blue light is not flashing on the actual pencil but happens when I go into Setting - pencil - then goes to a screen which shows battery power level and other features of the pencil. The screen has an “image” of the pencil and a blue light flashes about 2/3rds up the image of the pencil and says to tap pencil twice. Nothing happens if I tap the actual pencil or image of the pencil. My pencil does not respond if I want to highlight or write something. I am sync’d with Bluetooth. Something I read said disconnect from BTooth and Re-sync. That doesn’t fix the problem either.
