MacBook 12“ 2017 connecting to an external display

Hi everyone,

Allow me to ask regarding the MacBook 2017, i saw the article said that USB-C port on MacBook 12” 2017 is not thunderbolt 3. Is that correct?

Or anyone already tried to connect MacBook 12” 2017 to an external display? If yes, what dongle; is it okay if i use type c dongle which had HDMI port?

Thanks!

MacBook

It is true that the USB C port on this macbook is not a thunderbolt 3 port. But it is an usb C port so you can use an USB C to HDMI cable to connect an external display
