My watch is paired to my iPhone but does not appear in the Find My app. I found the directions on Apple.com, but the first step is to open settings on my watch and tap my name, but my name does not appear. What should I do to get my watch to show up on Find My?

Find My was unselectable on my watch, I followed this and other suggestions. But none of these worked and I really didn't want to unpair/repair or erase and restore my phone or my watch. So I went back to the basics to ensure my phone was set correctly. I resolved it when I realized that Find My was not on for my phone therefore also not on my watch. General-Settings-(your name at the top) to get to your Apple ID-Find My then turn it on. Everything else reconnected.

The directions here Set up Find My on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac - Apple Support said to go to my watch settings and tap my name. My name does not appear on my watch settings. My name does appear on my iPhone settings.
I ran into this same issue and couldn’t find my “name at the top” but I realized that it was a sign into Apple ID problem. I had to go to the watch app then to General then to Apple ID and sign in. Fixed the problem immediately
If your name does not appear on page 1 of settings
then your phone is not signed into your Apple account. You can sign in on that page.
After iphone is signed in you may have to erase or unpair the watch then set up again.
You can also sign into https://icloud.com/find
and find your devices there.

I was having this issue and figured out that I was not signed in with my Apple ID on my watch. On your watch, go to settings > general > Apple ID and sign in. Hopefully they fixes your issue
I answered that. Sign into your iphone in first page of settings.
After iphone is signed in to the same account as your watch, you may have to erase or unpair the watch then set up again.
You can also sign into https://icloud.com/find
and find your watch there.

Going into the watch app on my phone, into General and then Apple ID showed I wasn't signed in to find my om my watch, I signed in using my apple id and it worked perfectly. Thanks for this advice.
