How can I change the default alarm sound on iPhone?

This is not an acceptable solution, why the heck would I do it manually when we have Siri. That is the entire point of having Siri. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Why would Siri or apple even change what sound you use.

Changing an alarm sound is one of the few things that Apple and IOS should never do. There certainly needs to be a way to update the default alarm sound. It is unbelievable this isn't an option in IOS.

I discovered this change yesterday because I slept through my alarm. Even at full volume, Radial was too quiet. I changed it back to Radar.

"Do it manually instead of with Siri" is not an acceptable answer. "Radial" is too low volume!

Once I deleted all my alarms and then recreated one of them using Radar, new alarms that I create now also use Radar.

Even at full volume, Radial was too quiet. I slept through multiple alarms. Initially, I thought the alarm sound did not go off, but I later realized Apple had changed the default alarm.

As a workaround until Apple sobers up and fixes this, create a shortcut named something you can say clearly that Siri won't confuse with other things. Add a single action "Create an alarm" and have the time set to "ask each time". Alarms created through that will have the latest-chosen-in-clock alarm sound.

I am so angry with apple changing the default alarm sound to radical. My daughter needed her medicine 4 hours ago and the alarm was too quiet for me to wake up. Now I’m up at 4am. Shes unwell crying in pain. Do better apple now I have to get up at 4am for the next week so her medicine is given strictly every 8 hours.

I have the same issue. Manually set alarms default back to "Radar" now I've reset it but any Siri ones go to "Radial". I would rather use Siri but for this.

You cannot.

As of iOS 17.4, when you ask Siri to create an alarm it will create it with the default alarm tone of "Radial" rather than use the last selected alarm tone as manual creation of alarms does and Siri has since it was introduced in iOS 15.

Apple will need to modify iOS/Siri in the future to change this behavior.

You may complain to Apple about it at the link below; there's nothing any of us can do about it.

I have the exact same problem. Seems like there is currently no ideal fix. Until Apple addresses this I am having better luck by asking Siri to wake me up in 7 hours or 20 minutes or whatever, rather than asking Siri to wake me at a certain time. It activates the timer instead of setting an alarm, but it gives the desired

result and it seems to use/retain the Radar tone.

The answer "do it manually instead of with Siri" is not an acceptable answer. I set all my alarms using Siri and I set a lot of them. There must be a way to set the default alarm sound. Using the new sound is not acceptable since it is a really bad alarm sound.

I cannot believe Apple changed the default alarm on its own. Absolutely nuts because I just missed my 8:00am class because the new update is so much softer and it didn’t wake me up.

I have the same problem since updating to IOS17 on iPhone & iPad, will not allow me to change my alarm sound to any of my downloaded songs anymore.

I can change to a different tone but every time I try a downloaded song it defaults to “Radial (Default)” & it is so quiet I sleep through it!!!!!!!!

This is probably the first time I have been unable to resolve an issue after an update.

I just asked this question. I wish Apple would fix this. I set my alarms manually and i have the same problem. If i dont have the phone right next to me i wouldn’t hear that mess
