How to upgrade my iPhone 7 to iOS 16

Hi why are you making us things with difficulty us using iPhone 7plus? I can’t download Microsoft autlook because of ios ,please do something I need this app for my school work I don’t have money tobuy anather iPhone

I can’t install Netflix because my phone is not yet upgraded to iOS

The iPhone 7 can only update to iOS 15.7.8. It does not support anything above that:

You'll have to contact Netflix to see if they have any solutions other than getting a newer phone.

I can’t install lightroom in my iphone 7 because it still on ios 15

The iPhone 7 will stay on iOS 15. It cannot run iOS 16. The iPhone 7 is too old.

Yes, the iPhone 7 cannot run iOS 16. Yes, the iPhone 7 will not offer you an upgrade to iOS 16. Yes, if you want to run anything higher than the latest release of iOS 15, you will need a newer iPhone.

The hardware in the iPhone 7......cannot support the software requirements of iOS 16. It all has to to with processor speed and other boring stuff like that.

But....just for fun....let's assume that you can install iOS 16 on the iPhone 7....(even though you can't)....

The iPhone 7 would run unbelievably slow.....and probably so hot.....that it would be unusable. You would be begging to reload iOS 15 back onto the phone.....(which you would not be able to do)

You can't. For that iPhone, the latest release of iOS 15 is the end of the line.

iPhone 7 will not update to iOS 16 or iOS 17.

You need an iPhone 8 if you want to run iOS 16.

You need an iPhone XR, XS, 11 or higher if you want to run iOS 17.

You will need an iPhone 8 or higher model to install iOS 16.

If you want to install iOS 17, you will need an iPhone XS, XR or higher.
