Location sharing not working on my iPhone

Apple needs to DO A UPDATE FIX this feature goes in and out does not stay fixed?? Anyone know how to get this request back to Apple Technicians?? Enough is enough

After trying multiple solutions provided in the guide Fix Location Sharing Not Working on iPhone I finally found one that worked for me. It turns out that I needed to set up my iPhone properly before attempting to turn on and off Find My. I hope this solution helps you too. 

Similar issue:

wife 13 pro max

me 14 pro max

We always share in family & “Find My” app and location in “Messages” always worked great.

now after she got new phone:

wife 15 pro max

me 14 pro max

”Find My” app works fine

but

Both our “Messages” locations will not work

Do I possibly have to erase her old phone and have her send me new “Contact” from new phone so the up address gets right?

I’ve tried this and just says no location found. It’s just recently that it stopped working. I’ve tried going through Find My and Messages but nothing works. Probably a bug that needs to be fixed.

Im having the same issues have anybody figured out how to fix this

Go to settings then family sharing find location sharing click on open find my then click on the person whose location is showing as not found its some kind of apple glitch i just happened to have been trying to find out why and i stumbled on this let me know if it works i may need to give more detailed instructions

I believe I figured out a temporary fix but there is obviously something wrong. My girlfriend and I have been sharing locations for years and then out of the blue on my iPhone 12 her location says not found

there is one setting in find my app label as share last location your girlfriends might have turn it off by mistake and enabling it will fix the issue which you are facing but location service can also not work due to many reason so for more on location issue and for the steps on how to turn on share last location

Out of the blue my iPhone 13 won’t allow me to share my location with my husband. He can share with me but when I try to share with him….. nothing. We have added and deleted numerous times but still I’m not able to share my location. Everyone else on my list can still see me. Spent an hour on the phone with Apple support but no resolution. This has to be a glitch in the software that they need to address!!!

Definitely an Apple bug. My wife’s l iPhone 14 has stopped sharing location with my iPhone SE. The rest of the family sharing still functions normally. My wife can see my location, but I can’t see hers despite unsharing and resharing many times with the two phones sitting side by side. I hope Apple determine’s the cause and gets this fixed.

Apple support was able to help me with the same issue. On the affected phone they had me go in and turn off Find My- and Share My Location- force phone off- turn back on then turn on FIND My and Share Location. This did the trick for me.

Could you share what you found worked we are still having the problem and none of the directions here work.

Having the same issue- it worked for years and now even though someone sharing their location with me, it shows “no location found.” When I go to settings and then “find my” and click on the person, I can see their location but no longer easily in the text message. So weird.
