Trouble Finding Remote in Keynote

Wanted to use my iWatch to control an iPad displaying a Keynote presentation - you can’t. The iWatch can only be used to control a presentation on an iPhone - but you can link the iPhone and iPad. However getting that linkage is very tricky. The option to link the devices is only presented when the Keynote presentation is in edit mode. Much hair pulling to discover that.

So, to link devices is Keynote - you must be in EDIT mode on the presentation to find the option under the three dots…
