using roman numerals and latin numerals as page number in the same document

I need to number front pages in a document with roman numerals, then switch to regular numbers after the front matter. And old post said to click a page number in the section you want to change while holding "control" and you will get a menu. But it is not there on my version - Sonoma 14.4.1, pages version 14.0.

You will need one section for the Roman numerals, and a separate section(s) bearing the ordinary page numbers. In the Document panel Section tab, you will find the controls for changing the page numbering style and the ability to continue page numbering or start at a unique value. You would disable the default Match previous section selection when beginning the second section.
