How to update my iPhone X without access to software updates

Got a notice saying your IPhone X could not be activated because the activation information is not obtained from the device. Yet I can’t access the software updates through settings.

The "update" that you are referring to is an update from your carrier.....not an update from Apple.


Check Settings > General > About to see if there is a notice there.


Manually update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPadApple SupportOfficial Apple Support › en-us


If not, contact your carrier and ask them to provide the update software to you.
