No signal on Samsung TV from Apple TV device

Connecting my new Apple TV to my Samsung TV and TV does not recognize the Apple TV and says no signal. The Apple TV connected to a Samsung monitor works fine, so I know the Apple TV is working.

Typically it is the TV that says ‘no signal’ when it doesn’t receive data through HDMI.

Verify that the TV is set to take input from the HDMI port to which the Apple TV box is connected.
