How to manage system installers on MacBook Air 2017

Hello recently i had updated my macbook to Montery 17.4.4 and what i had found was a macos Sonoma installer had been placed on my MacBook and when i try to use it just keeps telling me my macbook is compatable with it so im wondering why it is on my Mac book.
