My trash is slowly filling with .ini and .txt files - while no apps are running

Hi,

I emptied my trash today and noticed that there were thousands of files being deleted. I opened the trash folder to find it filled with .ini and .txt files. As I watched they were being added to the trash folder in pairs every 4-5 seconds. No apps are running. I tried restarting and tried other internet connections. The files keep coming.
