with OS Ventura 13.6.6, should plist files be deleted?

As a Mac user for 20 years, we formerly deleted plist files to correct system slowness as well as concerns over bugs. At this point, with OS Ventura 13.6.6, should we still do this? Also, the last question about this was 2019, so that is why I am posting it fresh with OS specified.

Mac Pro, macOS 10.12

Should you have ever done that?

Modern Macs are essentially iPhones with bigger screens and keyboards. Old-school Mac "fixes" that can't be done on an iPhone shouldn't be tried on a modern Mac. The biggest problem these days is 3rd party system modification apps. Those were extremely popular back in the day and still are. But iOS was not designed to be modified like that. Old hacks should not be attempted today.
