I usually transfer photos from my camera to my iPad and they appear in the photos app as well as the manufacturer app.
most recently the photos I’ve transferred have only appeared in the manufacturer’s app. So I can’t edit or share them

Possibly you have switched to a RAW format on the camera that isn’t supported by your version of the Photos app?
Possibly your settings of the manufacturer’s app have changed to not include the Photos app transfer?
