How do I move music files from my old itunes directory

My old MP3 collection gets a lot less use in these days of streaming but I would still like to have access to it. In the days of itunes I decided to keep my files on onedrive as I had lots of storage there, odd choice I know.

I now would like to move the files to a more sensible place, like /username/music

I have changed the settings in OSX Music to

I hoped this would start the process of moving the files but it didn't, so I tried to consolidate files...

The files are still in their old location

What seems to have happend is directories have been created under /music for artists and albums but they are empty and nothing has been moved

Any suggestions?
