iMac missing sensor CPU/GPU throttle
Hi,
my Imac from 2011 has a missing Display and therefore a missing LCD thermal sensor. This does not only result in an increased fan speed but also throttles my CPU and GPU significantly.
Now, to reduce the fan speed there are many apps and programs. However, removing the CPU/GPU limitation isn't that easy. I found that a variable BD Prochot is likely to be enabled in order to protect the hardware, due to the missing sensor.
Is there a way to tell the hardware to ignore the sensor or to disable BD Prochot and manage thermals actively?
