It depends on the specific model of MacBook Pro you have.
Some MacBook Pro models require more than 20 watts of power to charge, so using a 20-watt power adapter may not be sufficient to charge your laptop or may result in slower charging.
For example, the 13-inch MacBook Pro models released in 2016 and later come with a 61-watt power adapter, while the 15-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models come with an 87-watt power adapter. Using a lower wattage adapter may not provide enough power to charge your laptop efficiently.
That being said, if your MacBook Pro model supports charging with a 20-watt adapter, it should be safe to use it, although the charging time may be longer than with a higher wattage adapter.
To be sure, you can check the specifications of your MacBook Pro model or consult with Apple customer support. It's generally recommended to use the adapter that came with your laptop or an Apple-branded adapter of appropriate wattage to ensure proper charging and avoid potential issues.

Hi majtyc,
