Hello!
We're grateful for your participation in the Apple Support Community.
Connecting multiple monitors to a MacBook can sometimes be tricky and the results can depend on the specific model of your MacBook, the monitors, and the type of adapter you're using. However, let's try to diagnose and fix your issue.
Firstly, you should check if your MacBook Pro model supports multiple external displays. Most recent models do, but there are some limitations depending on the exact model and year. If you're not sure, you can check the specifications for your MacBook Pro model on the Apple website or in the About This Mac screen.
Secondly, note that not all USB-C ports on MacBooks are identical. Some models of MacBook Pro have more than one type of USB-C port: Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) and USB-C. Thunderbolt 3 ports have a lightning bolt symbol next to them. Make sure both of your monitors are connected to Thunderbolt 3 ports if available.
Thirdly, the Satechi adapter you're using may also be part of the problem. Some adapters only support a single display or have specific requirements for using multiple displays. Check the documentation for your adapter to see if there are any special instructions or limitations.
Here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try:
Sometimes issues with the power, battery, and other features can be resolved by resetting the SMC. To do this, shut down your Mac, then press and hold the power button for 10 seconds. Release the button, wait a few seconds, then turn on your Mac again.
If possible, try using different cables or another adapter. This can help you determine if the problem is with the Satechi adapter.
Make sure your Mac is running the latest version of macOS. Apple often includes fixes and improvements for hardware compatibility in these updates.
If none of the above suggestions resolve the issue, I recommend contacting Apple Support Tel.: 0800 6645 451 (DE) or Satechi's customer service for further assistance. It's possible that there's a hardware issue with your MacBook's USB-C ports or with the adapter itself.
