MacOS McAfee Web Gateway/Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway

Hi all,

in our company we currently use an explicit (no transparent) proxy server (McAfee Web Gateway/Skyhigh Secure Web Gateway) for all Windows clients. The DNS resolution is done by the proxy, also you have to authenticate on the proxy with username and password stored in the settings. This works fine.

With MacOS (13.X or 14.0) there are problems.

Often only destination IP addresses arrive at the proxy instead of destination hostnames. This leads to the error "CertNameMismatch".

Furthermore, "Self Signed Certificates" are blocked. For example "google.com".

The third error is that web pages do not work because the username and password are not recognized.

I also tried to use the program "Proxifier" as an alternative. But this does not help either.
