Reset admin password through deactivate Mac
Dear Community,
I've forgotten my admin password (Mac Book Air, Ventura) and the only option which is left to deactivate the mac through Reset Password Assistant.
I haven't activated "Find my" Mac.
And reset through apple-id is not activated either.
I have connected the Mac with iCloud but nothing else. And I can see the Mac in my Apple ID account.
Will it work that I deactivated my Mac to reset my admin password (through Reset Password Assistant)?
Or do I need to reinstall the laptop because I will not able to activate the Mac through iCloud (As this is not enabled currently for the admin user)?
I would like to avoid to lose all my data, hence the question.
