Monitor the music on Logic

hey, why can't I monitor my music on logic even tho I have selected the right output device

I have tried everything but I can't get it to work right, I had never before the same problem, I have plugged my headphones on my laptop and select them as an output device on logic, I can hear my recordings but I can't hear myself white singing, I can't monitor the vocals
