USB-C to HDMI is not Working on Samsung TV only 30Hz
Hey everyone,
I'm having an issue with my MacBook Pro M1 (2020) running macOS Sequoia Beta 15.1 and my Samsung UE49MU6179UXZG TV (49 inches, UHD 4K, SMART TV). When I connect them via a USB-C to HDMI cable, I can only get 4K at 30Hz, not 60Hz. The same happens with lower resolutions like 1920x1080p—only 30Hz works.
The Samsung TV is recognized by the Mac and appears in the display settings. I can select any resolution, but when I choose 60Hz, the TV goes black and after about 10 seconds, it says "No Signal". I’ve already tried two different cables and a USB-C hub. Still the same result. I even tested with another TV (a cheap Hisense model), but no luck.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? I’m really out of options at this point and would appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance!
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.1
