"photos" shows the photos from the library, also the keywords assigned to any photo, but the search does not work at all. What is going on ? In the previos operating system the search somehow worked, it was far from good, it was lousy, but with 15 really nothing !

That is indeed a new problem in Photos.
In previous versions of Photos we would be seeing a section in the search results, where the photos with the particular keyword have been shown. Now we are getting only memories, albums, or text results, but no specific result for the keyword.
Currently I am using two work arounds to search for keywords - the filter or smart albums.
