Apple iMac reset.

Before erasing anything, make sure you have a current backup.

That old email is probably the Apple Account tied to Find My and Activation Lock on the iMac. If you only changed the email address on that same account, try your current Apple Account password when the old address appears.

If it’s a separate account, your newer account won’t unlock the Mac. You’ll need to recover the account shown or remove the iMac from that account through Find Devices. Apple may also help remove Activation Lock if you have valid proof of purchase.
