Could not find a valid App Store purchase after installing Logic Pro on another Mac
Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone has seen this before.
I’ve owned Logic Pro for several years and have used it without any problems on another Mac.
Recently, I installed Logic Pro on a different Mac (not a brand-new Mac), using the same Apple ID that originally purchased Logic Pro.
The App Store recognizes that I own Logic Pro and shows the Open button. However, every time I try to launch it, I immediately get this message:
“Could not find a valid App Store purchase. Delete this version of Logic Pro and get Logic Pro from the App Store.”
I’ve already tried:
- Deleting Logic Pro and downloading it again from the App Store.
- Signing out of and back into the App Store.
- Restarting the Mac.
A few additional details:
- I’m using the same Apple ID that purchased Logic Pro.
- Final Cut Pro, purchased with the same Apple ID, works normally on this Mac.
- I’m running macOS 15.6.1 on an Apple Silicon Mac.
Has anyone run into this before or found a solution?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
MacBook Air, macOS 15.6
