I bought my phone a year ago, on a special condition that one year later (this month) I would be able to exchange it for a new model. however, I do not find this information anymore. Has this happened to anyone else and how to verify and go after this?

If you bought the iPhone from Apple in Germany with the 24-month financing option that included the upgrade offer, the option hasn’t disappeared.
For iPhones bought before July 22, 2026, Apple says the original offer still applies: after 12–13 monthly payments, an eligible iPhone in good condition can receive a guaranteed trade-in value of at least 50% of its original purchase price toward the remaining financing balance.
I’d sign in to the Apple Store and check Account > Your Devices. Apple says that’s where you can see whether the iPhone is currently eligible for an upgrade.
The important part is whether your original purchase actually included the upgrade option, so I’d also check the financing agreement/order confirmation from when you bought it.

Ich erinnere mich duster, dass es so eine Art „Abo-Modell“ gegeben hatte.
Das müsstest du in den Kaufunterlagen des letzten Jahres wiederfinden. Da müsste auch stehen, wie das genau vor sich geht: automatisch oder musst du etwas tun?
Und: seither habe ich dieses Modell auch nicht mehr gesehen.

Hallo anna_hier, der Frage von christine33 schließe ich mich an. Die von dir hier vorgestellte Option ist mir bei Apple in der Form nicht bekannt.
Natürlich kannst du ein iPhone kaufen und später entsprechend auf ein aktuelleres Modell umsteigen. Dass dies bereits in den Verkaufsunterlagen mit aufgenommen wird, da bist du die erste Kundin.
