Why is icloud mail on a browser so bad and slow in the moment?
Since 1 week the mail page in iCloud.com in a browser is unusable. Don't open mails, break up when sending mails, not receiving mails that are on my phone already received. Total crap...

I’d first try iCloud Mail in a different browser or a private/incognito window. If it works there, that usually points to cached website data, an extension, or a browser-specific issue.
Since Mail on your iPhone is receiving messages normally, I wouldn’t change your iCloud Mail settings or sign out of iCloud yet.
Apple also recommends checking its System Status page for any current iCloud issues: Apple - Support - System Status
If the same problem happens in more than one browser and on more than one computer, it’s much more likely to be on Apple’s side.
