magic trackpad scrolling not working

Hello,

I recently purchased a brand-new Apple Magic Trackpad, and while it connects to my laptop without any issues, I’m unable to use any scrolling or multi-touch features. Everything else seems to work fine, but these key functionalities are simply not responding.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Ensured all relevant settings are correctly configured in the Accessibility menu and the Trackpad settings.
Restarted my computer.
Repaired the Trackpad via Bluetooth.

Despite these efforts, the problem persists. Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting or resolving this issue?

Hello Shmulik24,

If you got the Magic Trackpad USB-C, know that it requires macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later. It won't be compatible with earlier version of macOS.

If you are using an earlier version of macOS, exchange the Magic Trackpad USB-C for a Magic Trackpad with the Lightning port.

Problem remains unsolved but at least I know why now haha
