Yes, Google Assistant works on iPhone through the Google Assistant app, which you can download from the App Store. It does support European Portuguese, so you can use it in that language.

However, Google Assistant cannot fully replace Siri on iPhone because Apple does not allow third-party assistants to take over system-wide voice commands. You cannot activate it using "Hey Google" while the phone is locked, and it won't integrate as deeply as Siri does with iOS features.

Workarounds to Use Google Assistant More Easily on iPhone

1️⃣ Add a Widget 📲

  • Go to your Home Screen, long-press, tap the "+" icon, and add the Google Assistant widget for quick access.

2️⃣ Use Back Tap to Launch Google Assistant (iOS 14+) 🔄

  • Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap
  • Assign Google Assistant to Double Tap or Triple Tap, so tapping the back of your phone will open it.

3️⃣ Create a Siri Shortcut for Google Assistant 🗣️

  • Open the Google Assistant app and tap your profile picture.
  • Select "Add to Siri", record a phrase like "Hey Google," and save it.
  • Now, when you say that to Siri, it will open Google Assistant.

While it’s not a perfect replacement for Siri, these tricks can make Google Assistant more convenient to use on an iPhone. Hopefully, Apple will add European Portuguese support to Siri soon! 😊
