Why won’t my iPad mini 6 recognize the apple pencil 2 anymore?

After not charging the pencil for 4 days, it won’t charge or even show in the pairing Bluetooth window.

Thank you MacGuru180 , I took my iPad mini 6 and apple pencil 2 running iOS 17.4.1 to the apple store, they reloaded the software and tried all these options to no avail. They said it's a bug in iOS 17.4.1 and that apple needs to rectify it with the software update. I am waiting patiently.

Try fully charging the pencil, restarting your iPad, and re-pairing the pencil via Bluetooth settings. If the problem persists, contact Apple Support for assistance.

How old is the Pencil? It's possible that yours has reached the end of its useful battery life. Letting it sit uncharged could have exacerbated that.

Its 5 months old. Brand new and the apple store tested it on the other iPads and it had no issues. It's a bug issue in iOS 17.4.1 and we need a new software update. We reloaded the software and wiped the iPad.
